Just a game, and kept that way

Free, but still 18+. Why?

Social casino games look, sound and move like real gambling. That’s why Drizzle Roastery is only for adults over the legal gambling age, and isn’t aimed at anyone under 18. We check your age twice: with the banner you see when you arrive, and with a tick you make when you create your account.

Things we’ll never do

• Offer real-money gambling, or advertise it to you.
• Give prizes that have real-world value.
• Sell you coins, or sneak in in-app purchases.
• Point you at gambling operators or their affiliates down the high street.
• Guilt you back with countdowns or streaks.

Being straight with you

Free games can be set up to feel generous, and they top you up for nothing. Real-money games won’t. Whatever happens here, it isn’t a guide to how you’d do with real money at stake.

Signs worth watching for in yourself, says Dabney

• Playing way longer than you meant to.
• You get grumpy when you stop.
• You play to get away from a bad mood.
• It cuts into your sleep, your work or your people.
• You go looking for a real-money version.

Keeping it in hand, cup by cup

• Pick a time limit before you start.
• Leave autoplay well alone, please.
• Have a break, regularly.
